Joseph Hansen, LCSW, a retired U.S. Air Force Security Forces Master Sergeant, is a Detroit native and father of three. Joe's journey in criminal justice began with an Associate Degree in 2006 and a stint as a Certified Hostage Negotiator (2009-2014). Transitioning to mental health, he earned an Associate in Social Services from the Community College of the Air Force. Utilizing the Post 911 GI Bill, he received a Bachelor's in Social Psychology from Park University and a Master of Social Work in 2019. Joe's career spans roles as a Security Guard Supervisor at Montana Air National Guard Base, an Intern at the Montana Department of Veteran Affairs, and a Behavioral Health Counselor at Benefis Health System. Joseph now sees children, ages 7 and up through geriatric clients. He specializes in anxiety, depression and life transitions using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
