Great to meet you!

I started my journey in the field of eating disorders in a small town called Buffalo Gap, Texas at Shades of Hope. My specialty is eating disorder and co-occurring disorders My educational background includes a Master's degree in social work from Abilene Christian University, and a Bachelor's degree in sociology from Midwestern State University.

My approach to therapy

Every client is unique in that the therapeutic approach depends upon the client. I do have to say that psychodynamic therapy works very well with clients who struggle with eating disorders. The psychodynamic approach delves into personality and family history to concentrate on underlying problems.

What you can expect from me

I have always been taught that expectations are resentments in the making. My hope for my clients is that they come to session with honesty, openminded, and willingness. With these three components, clients will have a different perspective regarding the difficulties that brought them to therapy.
