Great to meet you!

My name is Joseph Ogolo, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 7 years of nursing experience, dedicated to providing compassionate, respectful, and individualized mental health care.

At Brightwave Psychiatry, I work with children, adolescents, adults and older adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and involved in your treatment. I believe every person deserves personalized care that supports their mental health and overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and centered on you as an individual. I take time to understand your concerns, goals, history, and unique circumstances before developing a personalized treatment plan. When appropriate, treatment may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination of approaches. I believe in open communication and shared decision-making so that you feel comfortable, informed, and empowered throughout your care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you can share what you are experiencing and what you hope to achieve. I will take time to understand your concerns, mental health history, current symptoms, strengths, and treatment goals. Together, we will identify priorities and develop an individualized treatment plan, which may include medication management, therapy, lifestyle strategies, or a combination of approaches. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and confident about the next steps in your care.
