Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Joe, a licensed mental health therapist. I believe that people are capable of change, which is why I do what I do. It's understandable if you come to therapy feeling low and unmotivated. This is normal. Your first step in coming here is a big deal and not an easy decision or task. That right there is motivation. I believe in a collaborative approach and meeting you where you are in your life. I am not an expert on you, but we can work together to understand what is getting in the way of your goals and make plans to address these areas. I am here to help you figure out what needs to change and to guide you through the process of improving your mental health and growing as a person.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I approach sessions with collaboration and a tailored style to fit with individual needs of clients.

What you can expect from our first session

The process of seeking and entering therapy can feel intimidating. I provide a safe space to process emotions with low pressure, and I help to set goals with time frames that are flexible. I hope that clients can walk away with feelings of validation, as well as practical solutions to problems. I will often ask at the end of a session what main themes were discussed and what was ultimately taken from the session.

Joseph's style is

Solution-oriented
Participatory
Open-minded
