Great to meet you!

I’m Joe, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with nearly 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. I became interested in psychology through my own curiosity about human behavior and personal growth, which led me to pursue counseling as a career. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring what matters most to them. Outside of therapy, I enjoy riding my motorcycle, staying active, and reading fiction, which helps me stay grounded and balanced.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and personalized. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Art Therapy, to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work on developing healthy coping skills, building self-awareness, and creating meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy works best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in the process.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, relaxed, and supportive environment. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brought you to therapy, and identifying your goals. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, and we’ll begin creating a plan that feels comfortable and aligned with your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about your next steps.
