During our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, your background, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy.
There’s no expectation that you have everything figured out before we begin. We’ll work together to better understand what you’re experiencing, identify what may be getting in the way, and develop an approach that feels appropriate for you. I also believe that meaningful change often happens through small, manageable steps. Rather than focusing only on a larger end goal, we’ll identify smaller goals and practical steps along the way that can build toward the bigger changes you want to make. Recognizing and making progress with these smaller steps can help make change feel more achievable and sustainable.
My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how therapy can help you move toward the person you want to be.
