Great to meet you!

Welcome to therapy, I have been supporting clients since 2017 and am passionate about helping people create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. With over 7 years in practice, I have extensive experience supporting individuals facing alcohol and substance use challenges, as well as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. I also work with clients navigating family issues, ADHD, anger management, stress, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel safe, respected, and encouraged as they work through life’s challenges.

I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and I believe it is important for clients to feel seen and accepted from the start. I work to create a nonjudgmental, affirming environment where people can be honest about what they are experiencing without fear of criticism. I am open-minded in my work and value building genuine connection with my clients. When appropriate, I also bring humor into sessions to help create comfort, ease, and a sense of humanity in the therapeutic process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in a strengths-based perspective, mindfulness, and meeting each client where they are. I believe that every person brings strengths into the therapy process, even during difficult seasons of life, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them recognize and build on those strengths. I use approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strength-Based Therapy to support self-awareness, healing, and practical progress. My style is affirming, supportive, and focused on helping clients take manageable steps toward feeling better.

I also believe therapy should be personalized, because no two people experience challenges in exactly the same way. Some clients come to therapy wanting tools to manage stress, anxiety, or impulsive behaviors, while others may need support processing deeper emotional pain, addiction, or family struggles. My role is to meet clients where they are, understand what they need most in the moment, and help guide them toward growth at a pace that feels realistic and empowering. I aim to balance compassion with encouragement so clients can feel valued while also making meaningful movement toward their goals.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and uplifting conversation focused on getting to know them and understanding what brings them to therapy. We will talk about the concerns that led them here, what challenges they are currently facing, and what they hope to improve. The intention of each session is to create a comfortable space where clients can begin sharing their story and feel heard without judgment. Together, we will start identifying your patterns and exploring what healing and progress might look like for them.

The first session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions and begin building trust in the therapeutic relationship. I want clients to leave that conversation feeling understood, supported, and more hopeful about the path ahead. Rather than expecting everything to be figured out immediately, I focus on helping clients feel grounded and clear about the next steps. From the beginning, I want therapy to feel like a collaborative process where we work together to create change that feels meaningful and sustainable.
