Great to meet you!

Building a psychiatric practice from the ground up means I get to do this the right way from the start. I chose psychiatric mental health care because I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be to find timely, thoughtful mental health treatment—especially in communities where there simply aren’t enough providers.

My background in healthcare has given me experience working with people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring that experience into every patient encounter, while keeping my focus where it belongs: on you, your goals, and what will actually help you move forward.

I believe psychiatric care should be collaborative, straightforward, and individualized. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood changes, or other mental health concerns, I want you to feel heard rather than judged. We’ll take the time to understand what you're experiencing, discuss your options honestly, and develop a treatment plan that makes sense for you.

My goal is to make getting quality psychiatric care easier—not another source of frustration. I’m committed to providing accessible, evidence-based treatment in a setting where patients can build a long-term relationship with their provider. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and I believe you should understand the why behind your treatment.

I strive to build the kind of practice I believe patients deserve: accessible, personal, and focused on treating the whole person—not just a diagnosis.

My approach to therapy

I ask a lot of questions because understanding the full picture matters to me. Symptoms don’t exist in isolation, and I don’t want to make decisions based on a diagnosis, medication list, or a few minutes of conversation. I want to understand what you’re experiencing, how it affects your life, what you’ve tried, what has or hasn’t worked, and what you hope will change.

I’m straightforward with my patients. I’ll explain what I think is happening, your treatment options, and what you can realistically expect—including the potential benefits, risks, and alternatives. If I don’t think something is the right choice for you, I’ll tell you why. When there are several reasonable options, we’ll talk through them together.

I believe you should be an active participant in your treatment. My role is to bring clinical knowledge, experience, and perspective; your role is to tell me what you’re experiencing and what matters most to you. The best treatment plan is one that makes sense medically and fits your actual life.

I don’t believe psychiatric care should be about simply checking boxes or automatically prescribing medication. Sometimes medication is an important part of treatment; sometimes other approaches deserve more attention. Often, it’s a combination.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being honest with me. You don’t have to tell me what you think I want to hear. My approach combines curiosity with honesty, clinical judgment with collaboration, and evidence-based treatment with an understanding that every patient is different.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation. I'll want to know what's brought you here, what you've tried before, and what matters most to you day to day. I'll share my honest read on what I'm hearing and what options might help. You'll leave with a clear next step, not just a list of things to think about.
