Great to meet you!

Hi, My name is Josephine Langham, and I am a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. Edward's University and served my Practicum and Internship with Capital Area Counseling in Austin, Texas.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is understanding and friendly; I am here to listen. While my therapeutic approach tends to be more eclectic, allowing me to fit the therapy to each individual client, I do lean toward narrative therapy at times. This is because I appreciate the way narrative therapy separates the issue from the individual. It is easy to create a shame narrative for ourselves when we identify so much of ourselves with the issue; but when we separate it from ourself than we can get a more clear image of the us and the issue.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create an authentic environment where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. My hope is that you will find a sense of belonging and purpose during our time together as you share your unique story. I would be honored to have the opportunity to listen and partner with you as you choose to rewrite your self-narrative.
