Great to meet you!

I believe meaningful change often begins with feeling deeply understood. I am deeply attentive to the hidden, stigmatized or exiled forms of emotion that leave people carrying their pain in isolation. In our work, I strive to cultivate a compassionate space where you can safely connect with and speak the truth of your emotional experience.

I bring curiosity, intuition, compassion, and humor into the therapy room. I won’t tell you who you should be or what your life should look like. Instead, I’ll help you understand yourself more deeply, recognize what may no longer be serving you, and identify changes that feel meaningful and authentic to you.

I especially enjoy working with women and with people navigating life transitions, relationships, identity, grief and loss, or a sense of feeling stuck. I’m particularly drawn to working with people who are ready to look inward, challenge old patterns, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and collaborative. I work from a trauma-informed perspective and draw from attachment theory, family systems, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and somatic approaches. Together, we may explore patterns in your relationships, emotions, and ways of coping, while also paying attention to what you notice in your body and nervous system. I believe we heal in relationship and the most important relationship is the one you have with yourself.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll begin by getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping might change. I’ll ask questions about what’s happening in your life now, as well as the relationships, experiences, and patterns that may be important to understanding you.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on or where to begin. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, and there will be space for questions along the way. My goal is for the first session to feel less like an interview and more like the beginning of a collaborative conversation; one where you can start to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself with me.
