Josephine Omoruyi

I have been a nurse for about 8years. I have my BSN 2017 and Master in nursing since 2021. I worked as a medical and surgical nurse fulltime straight out of school and a year later that’s when I developed my interest with psychiatric or mental populations. Then I started working as Psychiatry nurse. I have worked as an inpatient psychiatric nurse practitioner in the mental health facility in Indiana and at a jail setting. As PMHNP, I am passionate about assessing and treating various diagnoses that consist of chronic and acute mental health. Whether it be depression, anxiety, bipolar, psychosis, substance abuse in all lifespan, my goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel understood and empowered to take steps toward healing.

In my practice, I strive to create an environment that is welcoming, nonjudgmental where that patient can feel heard, seen and respected values, preferences and needs. The environment will be Coordinated and integrated with care. My approach will integrate evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs and combination of medication management services and psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) will be incorporated to meet your need.

I provide comprehensive treatment for all psychiatric conditions and by the end my patient will feel heard, seen and feel safe. The take away from a session is a sense of empowerment, self-awareness, and the patient will feel equipped with the right tools to navigate stressors with confidence and resilience.
