Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Josh, I have been in the mental health field for over 5 years now. I have experience in treating clients of all ages through experiences with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Relationship Issues, Faith Counseling, Communication, Strengths Building, and more. I started my career working as a high school therapist, and have a heart for people going through difficult lifestyle transitions. I now offer private practice services for individuals, couples, and families, as I believe therapy is helpful for every walk of life. I have specific training in treating children and adolescents, and will work to best support your unique needs!

My approach to therapy

I believe that each client is an expert in their own life, and that many people seek therapy when they are looking to create change. My role as a therapist is to help guide conversation, build decision making skills, and establish emotion regulation techniques to help my clients define and achieve wellness. I adopt a collaborative, eclectic approach to treatment involving CBT, Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, and Solution-Focused techniques to identify areas of concern and foster growth.

What you can expect from me

The most important aspect of a first session is the development of trust, comfortability, and rapport. My primary goal is to get to know you and understand your experience, then allow you space to ask questions about the therapy process or my role as a counselor. Afterwards we will work to gain understanding and insight into your primary concerns, collaboratively set goals for treatment, and review strengths and areas of growth you wish to develop.
