Great to meet you!

Is it just me, or does finding a therapist online feel a little like sorting through a dating website? If so, here’s me in a nutshell: I’m direct, curious, compassionate, and pretty good at noticing the thing underneath the thing and putting words to what’s been difficult to name. I won’t just nod along, but I also won’t reduce you to a diagnosis or treat your life like a problem to be fixed. Expect thoughtful questions, occasional humor, and skills aimed at helping you understand yourself more clearly, relate more honestly, and build a life that actually works for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with a simple idea: therapy should help you see yourself and your situation more clearly and then do something useful with what you see. I’m interested in understanding what you’ve learned to do, why it made sense, and whether it still works. We’ll pay attention to patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behavior, while building the flexibility to respond differently when old strategies stop serving you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session won’t feel like an interrogation or an hour spent checking boxes on a clipboard. I want to understand what brought you in, what life looks like from where you’re standing, and where you’d like things to be different. We’ll start connecting some dots, identifying patterns, and growing a sense of what might actually be useful. By the end, my goal is for you to leave with greater clarity, a direction for our work, and the sense that we’ve already started the journey.
