Great to meet you!
I am a neuroscientist and board-certified psychiatrist with a dual background in clinical care and research.
Before starting my private practice, I served on the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where I trained in psychiatry and served as Chief Resident for Research. During my time at UCSF, I provided care in specialized clinics for depression and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and conducted clinical trials focused on novel neuromodulation therapies. I’ve published over a dozen peer-reviewed academic articles on topics ranging from Deep Brain Stimulation, the Microbiome, and Epigenetics. Conducting research has shaped my belief that the best psychiatric care integrates cutting-edge science with deeply personalized attention to each person’s unique experience.
Alongside my clinical work, I lead research and development efforts at a mental health technology company. My focus is on developing AI-powered tools to improve care for people with depression and anxiety.
Additionally, I continue to teach courses on Neuroscience, Evidence-Based Psychiatry, and Psychiatric Diagnosis to residents and medical students at UCSF.
