Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner whose practice is rooted in one foundational belief: every person deserves compassionate, individualized mental health care — regardless of background, circumstance, or the barriers and challenges they've faced along the way.

I focus on the treatment of depression, anxiety, and life's traumas, with a particular dedication to individuals from underserved and marginalized communities who have historically faced systemic barriers to quality mental health care.

All care is grounded in evidence-based practice, blending the most current clinical research with individualized judgment and patient-centered values. As a lifelong learner, I actively pursue continuing education and emerging best practices in psychiatric care — because excellence in medicine requires ongoing growth, humility, and a willingness to be taught by both science and the patients who make this work meaningful.

I welcome patients of all backgrounds and identities, and I am honored to walk alongside each person on their journey toward healing, wholeness, and hope.

My approach to therapy

With a deep commitment to overall wellness, I approach each patient as a unique individual with their own story, strengths, and goals. Care is thoughtfully tailored to reflect each person's values and lived experiences, always with an eye toward building a more balanced and fulfilling life. Every session is guided by empathy and a genuine respect for the whole person.

Cultural identity, community context, and the social realities of daily life all shape how we experience mental health, and care should be crafted to honor that. Each patient can expect an approach that is culturally humble, affirming, and grounded in the world they actually live in.

Central to my practice is the creation of a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. Support isn't reserved for moments of crisis. I am committed to meeting patients exactly where they are — and walking with them through the ongoing work of building confidence, developing practical tools, strengthening coping skills, and reclaiming a sense of agency over their own lives. The therapeutic relationship with patients is always built on trust, transparency, and true collaboration.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I'll introduce myself and how I work, and take time to understand your story I will strive to understand what's brought you here, the challenges you're facing, and what you're hoping to change or achieve. Together, we'll identify the areas you'd most like to focus on, whether that's managing anxiety or depression, processing past trauma, or building tools for day-to-day life.

From there, we'll talk openly about how we can work together moving forward. Expectations for what a collaborative treatment plan might look like, how often we'll meet, and what to expect from the process are important items to understand. My goal for every first session is that you leave feeling heard, respected, and confident that this is a space where you can be fully yourself.
