Great to meet you!

I have been working as a psychotherapist for over 10 years. I received my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and my bachelors degree in Psychology from Sacramento State University. Since receiving my formal education, I had received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) among others.

My approach to therapy

Having received specialized training in trauma informed care, I make it my personal goal to ensure that every single one of my clients always feel in control of their treatment 100% of the time. I often give the analogy of my clients being in the drivers seat; controlling where we go and how fast we get there. While I am in the passenger seat with a road map pointing out helpful routes and providing support along the way to your destination.

What you can expect from me

I am a client centered, emotion focused clinician. What this means is that I meet every client not only with a curious and open mind, but also with my own humanity. You can expect an engaged therapist who is excited to partner with you on this incredibly meaningful work. Some clients come to first session with a laundry list of questions and items they want to address right away, while others would rather their clinician ask open ended questions and guide the initial conversation. Wherever you may fall on this spectrum, I look forward to meeting with you exactly where you are at and going from there.
