Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and have received two Masters degrees in psychology. Over the 10 years I have been practicing, I have gained a wide range of experiences, including working with the LGBTQ+ community, couples, substance use, and working in DBT informed programs. Getting help is hard, so I try to help make it better. I am dedicated to the idea that treatment can be both rewarding and fun, and have been able to apply this idea in every setting I have worked in by including activities such as games to help promote self-esteem, and even incorporating Dungeons and Dragons as a way to help clients roleplay to work through their various issues while also practicing being the types of individuals they want to be. I am passionate about ensuring that clients get the help and treatment they need, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or culture.

My approach to therapy

When it comes to your story, I want to hear it! Your story deserves an approach tailored to you, with treatment goals created to help you further your story and find solutions to issues and concerns in your life. Additionally, open communication is key, as I can best help you when you let me know what you need. I'll give you that respect and space to share, listening to you, supporting you, and challenging you when needed.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an introductory session where we will just get to know each other a bit. You will have the chance to tell me your story, your history, while we complete a BPS (Biopsychosocial), as well as share your goals and what you want from therapy. Then you will have a chance to ask questions related to therapy, my style, expectations, and other relevant concerns you may have. It is my intent to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where you feel comfortable to share openly, and to be vulnerable, while still feeling safe and secure. Finally, we will schedule your next session, and begin to work toward achieving your goals.
