Great to meet you!

I am licensed as an LPC in West Virginia and an LPCC in Kentucky. I am currently a member of the board for the West Virginia Counseling Association, and I am passionate about my work. I believe there is no cookie-cutter approach to therapy, so I view each client as a unique individual and work to meet them where they are. I work with individuals 16 and above for both mental health and addiction.

My approach to therapy

Each person has a unique story to tell based on their life experiences. Therapy needs to be tailored to meet the needs of each person to help them find meaning and purpose in life. As such, I use a wide range of evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, utilizing a person-centered approach. You will also find that I integrate techniques from other modalities, such as Gestalt, when needed. We will work together to find what works best for you and build upon those skills to promote wellness and healing!

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a friendly conversation as we get to know each other. I would love to hear about your history and the experiences that brought you here, so I can better understand how to help you. We will discuss your initial goals and start working on a plan to help you achieve them. Sometimes we aren't completely sure what we need or what has led us to feel the way we do. This will be our opportunity to explore that and identify areas of focus for future sessions.
