Great to meet you!

I believe meaningful change happens when you feel truly heard, supported, and met with genuine human warmth. As a therapist, I view our work as an authentic partnership—one where your lived experiences, values, and goals lead the way. Outside the therapy room, I am someone who values continuous learning, meaningful connection, and balance. I bring that same grounded, curious, and non-judgmental presence into every session.

My approach to therapy

My Approach: An Eclectic & Tailored Partnership

I practice an eclectic, integrative approach to therapy, which means I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all formula. Every person comes to therapy with unique life experiences, cultural backgrounds, nervous systems, and personal goals. Rather than forcing you into a rigid clinical box or adhering strictly to a single school of thought, I adapt our work to fit what actually works best for you.

An eclectic approach draws from a diverse toolkit of evidence-based psychological modalities to address different layers of your life:

What This Means for Our Work Together

  • True Collaboration: You are the expert on your lived experience; I bring clinical tools, structured guidance, and objective perspective. We decide on our goals and methods together as a team.
  • Flexibility in Real Time: What helps you during a high-stress crisis might look very different from what you need when doing deeper reflective work. If an exercise, framework, or conversation style doesn't feel right, we pivot.
  • A Balance of Insight and Action: Our sessions balance deep emotional processing and self-discovery with concrete, actionable skills you can use in your daily life outside the room.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect in Your First Session

Starting therapy is a courageous step, and it is completely normal to feel a mix of anticipation, uncertainty, or vulnerability. Our initial meeting is designed to be warm, low-pressure, and conversational—never an interrogation or an exam. It is an open dialogue focused on understanding who you are, what you need, and establishing a safe, secure foundation for our work together.

Here is what we will cover during our first session:

  • Confidentiality & Informed Consent: Your privacy and psychological safety come first. We begin by reviewing how your personal information is protected, as well as the standard ethical and legal exceptions to confidentiality, so you feel completely secure before sharing your story.
  • Boundaries & Professional Roles: A healthy therapeutic relationship relies on clear expectations. We will briefly discuss communication outside of sessions, scheduling logistics, and what a dedicated, unbiased support space looks like in practice.
  • What Brought You to Counseling: At a pace you are comfortable with, we will talk about the primary challenges, life transitions, or stressors prompting you to seek support right now, along with what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past.
  • Goals & Assessing Mutual Fit: We will discuss what relief and progress look like for you in practical terms. Because the connection between client and counselor is essential, this is also your opportunity to ask questions, get a feel for my style, and decide if we are the right match to move forward together.
