Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Josie DeShong, and I'm excited to meet you! Maybe you’ve experienced a hurdle you've tried and tried to get over and doubt how you’ll handle the distress. I would like you to know this space is for YOU to gain perspective and leave sessions feeling fully accepted while exploring what works for you.

My approach to therapy

"A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow." I love this quote from my father, because I understand it can be frustrating to desire change but not know how to initiate it. Let's explore what obstacles stand in your way and address them for real change to happen!

I help challenge long-held beliefs which block you from experiencing meaningful change. I'll also dive into emotional regulation techniques to help you navigate distressing situations while feeling empowered.

What you can expect from me

The first session will include an assessment to gain important background information, explain telehealth policies, and answer any questions you may have about our time together. Broad goals will be defined to continue specifying throughout the therapy process.

Therapy ought to be something you look forward to- not a chore! Book a session with me if you're ready to explore your concerns while feeling relaxed and hopeful about your change process.
