Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Josh, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who believes therapy should feel like a real conversation—not an interrogation or a textbook lecture.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, life transitions, and those moments when life simply feels like demasiado. My approach is warm, practical, collaborative, and judgment-free. We’ll talk about what’s going on, understand the patterns behind it, and work together toward changes that actually make sense for your life.

As a bilingual therapist, I’m comfortable providing therapy in English, Spanish, or a little Spanglish—porque sometimes one language just isn’t enough to explain exactly how we feel.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, going through a major transition, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, my goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and move forward at your own pace.

Aquí hablamos, procesamos, sanamos, and little by little, seguimos adelante.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, so I work alongside them to understand what they’re experiencing, identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop practical tools for moving forward.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves—whether that means speaking English, Spanish, or a little Spanglish. Sessions with me are conversational but purposeful. We may explore past experiences and how they affect the present, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build coping and communication skills, and set realistic goals together.

I also believe therapy goes beyond simply managing a crisis. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, heal, and create changes that continue long after the session ends.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel relaxed, conversational, and focused on getting to know them as a whole person—not just their symptoms. I’ll ask about what brought them to therapy, what has been going on in their life, what they hope will change, and what has or hasn’t worked for them before.

There’s no pressure to tell me everything on day one. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, identify the main concerns together, and begin developing realistic goals for therapy. I also like clients to leave the first session with at least a little more clarity about what they’re experiencing and what our next steps might look like.

My goal is for clients to think, “Okay, me entendió. I can actually talk to this person.” Therapy should be meaningful, but it can also feel human, comfortable, and genuine.
