Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Jovita and I specialize in anxiety, depression, family issues and life transitions. Welcome to my practice.

I’m a bilingual social worker that offers a warm, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive space where you can explore of challenges of life and reconnecting with your inner strength. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens by forming real, honest connections and creating space where you feel safe to show up as you are.

I’ve supported people who tend to carry a lot for others, often without feeling supported themselves and are now ready for their own healing and personal growth.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and am currently completing my doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My clinical foundation is built on respect, insight, and a deep belief in your capacity to heal — even in the midst of pain. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something different, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I believe that the healing process begins by feeling truly seen and supported, therefore creating a therapeutic space where you can show up authentically — without judgment is essential. I tailor my approach to each person, situation and setting drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy to meet your specific goals.

The foundation of our work together is built on trust, honesty, and compassion. My focus is to help you better understand your patterns, process difficult experiences, and build practical tools that will strengthen your ability to live with intentionality and clarity. Therapy is a space for reconnection — with your voice, your values, and the strengths that have carried you through your journey. It’s about creating meaningful change derived from self-awareness and choice.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is set in the belief that life’s transitions — even the most difficult ones — carry the potential for growth. I bring a human-centered approach that integrates clinical insights with lessons drawn from your own lived-in experiences and always honoring the timing and rhythm of your individual process.

Clients can expect a space that is supportive, reflective, and practical. Together, we’ll work toward building self-awareness, developing tools for emotional resilience, and reconnecting with your values. My goal is to help you feel more grounded and empowered in how you move through life — one step, one insight, one intentional choice at a time.
