Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with many years of experience. My approach is a direct and solution-focused approach to change. My goal is to help you explore viable solutions and to achieve meaningful results in the shortest amount of time possible. I will meet you where you are and will provide you with support and with tools you need to make necessary adjustments in your life to achieve results quickly. Taking the first step is courageous move toward change. I am here to help you thru the process.

My approach to therapy

My primary approach is Cognitive Behavior Therapy, (CBT). CBT challenges irrational beliefs that leads to distress and self-defeating behaviors. My approach is quite direct. We will focus on where you are now and what it takes to help you achieve your goals. My primary objective is to help you to see that you are on a journey filled with hope for tomorrow!

Being a highly personable counselor, my approach is both nurturing and empathetic but at the same time, direct and challenging you to challenge yourself, a CBT approach. I truly believe personal Introspection and a desire to improve are essential to being making positive changes in your life. The first step is the hardest! I am here to help you succeed!

What you can expect from me

Our first visit together will be a more structured than future visits. I will, with your consent, gather information about you to help me get to know you and to understand your needs and perspectives. This comprehensive psychosocial assessment will take about us about 45 minutes. We will talk about what brings you to therapy and how we can work together to help you to improve your overall well being.

You will also have an opportunity to get a sense of who I am and how I will work with you. This initial visit will help you determine if I am a good fit for you on your journey toward self improvement. I want you to be comfortable, feel respected and to engage with me as we identify your initial goals and come up with a plan. Goals often change as you gain insight into what helps you vs what hinders you and causes you stress in your life. I will guide you through the process.
