Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Joy, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a therapist, my approach is rooted in person-centered care, self-compassion, and is strength-based. I believe you are the expert in your own life and that you can make the positive changes that you wish to make in your life once you recognize and embrace your own strengths and abilities. I believe that my role as a therapist is to walk alongside you, offering support, empathy, and guidance as we navigate the challenges you’re facing together. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in trauma, chronic health conditions, and relationship issues. These experiences can feel overwhelming, isolating, and even disorienting at times, but you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you’re struggling with the emotional rollercoaster of healing from trauma, adjusting to a major life change, or feeling weighed down by stress, I’m here to help you find clarity, resilience, and hope.

My work with clients is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion focused therapy, Holistic Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and strength-based strategies to help you cope, heal, and grow. Whether we’re processing grief, building coping skills, or exploring new ways to manage stress, my goal is to help you feel more grounded and in control of your life.

What you can expect from me

My commitment to you is to meet you where you are, honor your story, and support you in creating a path forward that feels authentic and fulfilling. Let’s work together to navigate this chapter of your life with compassion, resilience, and hope.
