Great to meet you!

Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment, yet it is a very intricate and delicate process that requires collaborative effort from both the counselor and the client.

My educational background includes a Ph. D and MA in Counseling from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I am Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor and a Clinical Supervisor.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work from a warm and supportive stance to facilitate self-understanding, new learning, and personal growth to improve your quality of life. My approach emphasizes a reduction in distress and a resolution of life problems, while valuing your personal strivings toward happiness and fulfillment of your unique potentials.I focus on stress management, increasing self-worth, 12 step work, assertiveness training, anxiety reduction, substance abuse counseling, empowerment and work/life balance.

What you can expect from our first session

I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual/family because everyone is unique and each situation is different.
