Great to meet you!

As a dual‐certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Nurse Practitioner, I bring 19 years of experience caring for individuals in diverse settings. My background in primary care and correctional medicine has shaped my belief that every person’s story deserves to be heard without judgment.

I earned my Doctorate in Nursing from Aspen University and specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and chronic medical conditions that impact mental health. Outside of my clinical role, I’m a full‐time caregiver for my family, which deepens my empathy and understanding of the challenges many clients face. I aim to offer a safe, respectful environment where clients feel supported and hopeful about their path forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and clinical clarity. I believe people heal best when they feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. I take time to understand each client’s story, symptoms, and life circumstances so we can build a treatment plan that feels realistic and meaningful.

With 19 years of experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and board‐certified PMHNP, I integrate medical and psychiatric knowledge to provide thoughtful, evidence‐based medication management. I focus on helping clients gain stability, improve functioning, and feel more in control of their daily lives.

I work with adults and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma‐related symptoms, mood disorders, and complex medical‐psychiatric concerns. As a caregiver for my own family, I understand how stress, chronic illness, and life transitions can affect emotional well-being. That lived experience shapes my practice and helps me create a safe, supportive environment where clients can move toward healing at their own pace.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a calm, supportive, and structured conversation focused on understanding their needs. I take time to learn about what brought them in, their symptoms, medical history, past treatments, and any current stressors or life circumstances that may be affecting their well-being. My goal is to understand the whole picture — not just a diagnosis.

Clients can expect me to ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and explain things in clear, simple language. We’ll discuss initial impressions, possible treatment options, and whether medication may be helpful. I make sure clients feel comfortable asking questions and expressing concerns, and I never rush the process.

By the end of the first session, clients will have a clearer understanding of their symptoms, a collaborative plan for next steps, and a sense of what working together will look like. Most importantly, they can expect a safe, respectful space where they feel heard and supported from the very beginning.
