Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Joy Mrowiec, MS, LPC, a licensed professional counselor in Gilbert, AZ and I specialize in supporting couples navigating marital/relationship issues, infertility, adoption, foster care, and the unique challenges of parenting special needs children. I also work with those experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression and a variety of adjustment issues. I believe that healing begins when we feel truly seen and supported

Outside of the therapy room you’ll find me caring for my lively family of 2 special needs kids, 12 fur babies (two dogs and ten cats!), nurturing my marriage, creating handmade books and paper crafts, and hosting gatherings for friends and family. In every part of my life, I value connection, creativity, and offering a space where hope can grow.

My approach to therapy

My approach incorporates a variety of evidence based strategies, customized to your unique needs, to help you achieve your goals. By integrating elements of CBT, ACT, EFT, SFT, with a person-centered approach, I aim to empower you with the tools and skills necessary to overcome life‘s challenges, foster personal growth, and heal.

What you can expect from me

Through a tailored plan, we will build coping skills, and foster growth. Many of my clients experience a gradual improvement of symptoms within the first few weeks and continued to improve improvement thereafter.
