Great to meet you!
Joyce Mack-Leonard, a thirty-year Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, is a master at meeting people where they are in their journey toward healing, growth, and exploring the unique dynamics in relationships. She
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Master's in Family Studies degree, both from
Mercer University, Macon, Georgia.
Entering therapy can be intimidating. Finding a professional who can help and is a
personal fit can seem not worth the effort. . She specializes in a variety of diagnoses
including addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, stress management, anger management,
self-esteem, trauma, relationship challenges and major life transitions. She offers a
safe environment where individuals and couples can celebrate their strengths and also
do the necessary but difficult work toward shared goals, and ongoing open
communication for each family member. She follows the models of Family Systems,
Cognitive Behavioral and Brief Therapy. Therapy includes individual as well as
couples-family therapy.
Reaching out can be difficult, especially when dealing with everyday stresses brought
on by a single challenge or a culmination of many challenges. Many times, simply
identifying patterns, building coping skills, and strengthening individual and family
connections can set change in motion.
Thank you for considering me as a support and gentle guide. Please know you don’t
have to figure things out by yourself. When ready, I’ll meet you where you are and help
you move forward to self-discovery, growth, and healing.
