My approach blends behavioral cognitive therapy techniques (focus on current symptoms, patterns of feelings & behaviors, identifying coping strategies) with psychodynamic style and insight (exploration of past experiences, root causes of emotional difficulties and patterns, & relational dynamics).
I believe change in therapy occurs when there is a collaborative approach between Therapist and Client. I look forward to creating a safe space where there is trust, mutual respect and open communication.
My first session is to gather information to get to know you and what brings you into therapy. I will answer any questions you have regarding if we are a good match to support your needs.
