Great to meet you!

Hi!

My name is Joyce, I specialized in PTSD/trauma recovery, stress reduction, insight development, emotion regulation, depression and anxiety reduction, body image and self-esteem issues, and life in transitioning adjustment issues.

Welcome to my practice.

I have counseling experiences from inpatient hospitals and outpatient mental health agencies in the private, state, and military sector.

I am also a Registered Art Therapist/ ATR, utilizing creative approaches to mental health issues.

My approach to therapy

My psychotherapy approach is to first help you clarify your presenting problems from an integrated mind-body-spirit-environment perspective. I utilize mindfulness to help you to develop clarity in the present moment, and with depth psychology, psychodynamic, EMDR, art therapy, Jungian psychology, and focusing-oriented psychotherapy to help you explore your essence and inner wisdom for healing. Through processing unhealed wounds in the past, we can unveil the authentic SELF, and finding life meanings to journey on.

I work to validate each client's resources, supports, and unique strengths to change their current situation towards a better quality of life. Focusing on cultivating your inner compassion through this compassionate witnessing process we called psychotherapy.

What you can expect from me

Through processing unhealed wounds in the past, you can unveil the authentic SELF, and finding life meanings to journey on.

You will develop skills listening to your inner guidance and to be more compassionate toward yourselves. Ultimately, you will be able to learn to untangle the built-up mixed emotional parts from challenging life obstacles.
