My name is Juan A. López and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received my graduate degree in Mental Health in 2005 from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2010 I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Registered Interns in 2015. I have more than 10-years practicing psychotherapy and Behavior Analysis with children, adolescents and adults with a variety of diagnosis.
My approach is to be able to use my professional experience and knowledge to help others to identify, recognize or develop together the best skills or strategies that works for them and can guide them towards the healing process and overcome unpleasant raising thoughts and feelings related to depression, anxiety or trauma such as unhappiness, feeling overwhelmed, loneliness or misunderstood. Skills like; CBT, Stress Management, Anger Management, Behavior Modification, Motivational Interview.
You are not alone!!. There are many people that are going through stressful and challenging life circumstances as it can lead to feelings of low self-esteem, guilt or desperation. Here in my practice, you can find a safe space, comfort and support, a place where you can freely express your emotions and feelings, process the past, cope with the grief and loss of a loved one or find closure from painful and abusive relationships or empowerment to improve current relationships without judgment.
