Great to meet you!

There's a kind of weight that doesn't announce itself. It accumulates in the arguments that keep happening, in the sleep that won't come, in the feeling that you're holding more than anyone around you realizes. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, and family challenges. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and families.

My approach to therapy

Years spent in emergency medicine taught me something important: what people need most in hard moments is to feel that someone can hold it with them without flinching. That experience shapes how I work now. I don't get rattled by what's heavy, and you don't need to soften what you're going through before you bring it to me. In our sessions, we focus less on analyzing everything and more on understanding what's actually getting in the way and what you want to build toward instead. I pay attention to both the emotional and practical sides of what you're carrying, because those two things are always connected. Whether you're working through stress that won't let up, a relationship or family dynamic that keeps breaking down, or something that happened and won't leave you alone, we work from your strengths and what you already know about yourself. You know yourself better than I do, and I work from that assumption.

What you can expect from me

We'll spend the first session getting oriented. I'll ask about what's been happening, what you're hoping will change, and what's already working for you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, with a clearer sense of what working together might look like. You don't need to have it all figured out before you come in. Reach out when you're ready, and we'll take it from there.
