Great to meet you!

Hola! My name is Juana Campos, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a background in the school system. I hold a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential, which has allowed me to work closely with children and families in educational settings. I enjoy supporting children with emotional regulation and helping them express their feelings through their natural language, play. I believe play is a powerful way for children to communicate, process emotions, and feel understood in a safe and supportive space.

I also enjoy working with adults who are navigating relational challenges. My approach is grounded in an attachment lens. I strive to create a supportive and safe environment where clients can explore and process feelings related to anxiety, grief, and depression. I value building genuine connections with my clients and meeting them where they are by honoring their unique experiences and strengths.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe in meeting clients where they are and honoring their unique experiences, strengths, and identities. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. I work intentionally to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected.

I approach my work through an attachment lens and an interpersonal framework. I pay close attention to how early relationships and current relational patterns shape emotional experiences and coping strategies. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and care, while building greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and more meaningful connections. I aim to support clients in developing insight, resilience, and tools that feel authentic and sustainable for their lives.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive space focused on getting to know one another. I will review confidentiality, answer any questions, and go over the structure of therapy so clients know what to expect moving forward. My priority in this session is to understand where clients are coming from and what has brought them to therapy.

I take time to listen to each client’s experience. The first session is not about having all the answers. It is about creating a sense of safety, trust, and collaboration. My goal is for clients to leave feeling heard, supported, and more at ease about the therapy process.
