Great to meet you!

My name is Juanita Fontenot. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who graduated from the University of Maryland -Baltimore.

I am passionate about helping teenagers and young adults gain the skills needed to find success in life. I have experience working with youth and adults experiencing ADHD, autism, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma survivors, and improving communication skills and personal life skills.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe in a person-centered approach to everything, as we are humans first. I also think the resiliency of the human spirit is often unnoticed but should be celebrated. I use a trauma-informed lens in therapy and use a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused brief therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe therapy is most effective when the client actively participates in finding the solution that works for them. We partner together to reach your highest potential.
