Dr. Juanita Hernandez-Morin

I specialize in child centered play therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and psychological evaluation. I have experience working with a variety of presenting issues, including (but not limited to): developmental differences, depression, anxiety, trauma related symptoms, acute crisis, and severe mental illness. I work with children 4-12 years old and adults 18+. I also conduct psychological evaluations that assess developmental differences, cognitive functioning, and personality functioning.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, I use theory, research, and assessment tools to determine the nature of your treatment. I also incorporate a holistic approach to therapy, which invites themes of culture, physical health, family dynamics, alternative medicines, and spirituality into treatment as a means of addressing all the various aspects of your mental health.

My hope is that you leave your sessions feeling a sense of relief that you have taken steps to support your mental health and have a clear plan as to what you will be working on in therapy. We will work together to develop a very clear plan on how to improve your current situation and monitor progress along the way. Treatment is individualized and is tailored to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and of course, improve your quality of life.
