Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Juda DeCara. I received my B.A. from the University of Tampa in 2005 and my M.A. from Rider University in 2009. I hold practicing licenses in Florida (LMHC since 2013), Kansas (LCPC since2020), Connecticut (LPC since 2023), and Pennsylvania (LPC since 2023)and New Jersey (LPC since 2025). I primarily work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. My specialty areas are Anxiety/Panic Disorders, Depression, Stress Management, Relationship/Family Issues, Life Transition Issues, Self/Esteem Issues, and ADHD.

My approach to therapy

My main modality of treatment is Cognitive Behavioral therapy but also implement strategies from a variety of modalities. I believe the client is the driver and I am the navigator and together we work toward the client improving their overall wellbeing.

What you can expect from me

I believe clients should create their own therapeutic goals. I assist in creating those goals by focusing on coping strategies and creating solutions to the challenges they face. I create a comfortable, safe, and empowering environment which allows clients to be vulnerable in confronting their challenges. Imagine having a cup of coffee or tea with your friend, but with a therapeutic twist.
