Great to meet you!

Aloha, I’m Judy, a licensed mental health therapist dedicated to helping you navigate through life's difficulties in a way that feels authentic and supportive to you. Whether it's complex trauma or general anxiety, I truly believe you can overcome barriers keeping you from getting what you want and need in life.

I hold an M.S. in Professional Counseling and have over 12 years of experience in the mental health field. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in just about every position possible including direct support, case management, community mental health and more. It has allowed me to understand the complexities of mental health from multiple angles. This diverse experience has shaped my compassionate, person-centered approach, helping individuals from all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and supported. I work with people 13 and up of all genders, including women, men, trans, and non-binary individuals. It's truly an honor to be part of your journey to better mental health and I look forward to seeing you grow.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe counseling is a partnership and I've based my approach on a person-centered foundation. My approach is warm, practical, sometimes humorous and from a humanist perspective, focusing on helping you recognize your needs, shift limiting beliefs, and build lasting self-compassion. My approach blends traditional therapy with self-coaching techniques, empowering you to heal, grow, and take up space in your own life. I’ve learned that better mental health isn’t about fixing yourself; it’s about meeting yourself with understanding. My passion is helping you do the same.

What you can expect from our first session

In each session, you can expect a warm, direct, and supportive space where you set the pace. My goal is to help you feel empowered, deepen your self-awareness, and leave you with practical tools you can implement immediately. Sessions are solution-focused, meaning we work together to keep you moving forward rather than feeling stuck. When helpful, I provide self-reflection exercises or self-coaching tools for you to explore between sessions, giving you the opportunity to continue your growth beyond our time together. Whether you’re ready to dive deep or take things one step at a time, I meet you where you are and support you in the way that feels right for you.
