Great to meet you!

A retired educator with more than three decades of classroom and administrative experience, I now devotes my career to mental-health care as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Drawing on my rich background in education and lifelong advocacy for learners of every age, I serves children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with an inclusive, culturally sensitive approach.

Therapeutic modalities: • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) • Person-Centered Therapy • Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice, I partners with clients to clarify goals, build resilience, and reclaim a sense of purpose—no matter their stage of life or circumstance

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and integrative. I begin by creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to share their stories at their own pace. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness practices, I tailor each session to address the unique strengths, values, and goals of the individual sitting across from me. Together, we explore patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, uncovering underlying beliefs and cultivating practical tools for resilience and self-compassion. I view therapy as a partnership: you bring the expertise on your life, and I contribute clinical knowledge and guidance. Through this dynamic collaboration, we work to foster insight, build coping skills, and nurture meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a relaxed, conversational meeting focused on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. We’ll start with brief introductions, review confidentiality and practice policies, and clarify any questions you have about the therapeutic process. Next, I’ll invite you to share your current concerns, personal history, and goals—only as much as you feel comfortable discussing. I’ll listen attentively, ask clarifying questions, and begin to identify themes that may guide our work together. By the end of the session, we’ll summarize what we’ve learned, outline preliminary goals, and decide on practical next steps, so you leave with a clear sense of direction and what our collaboration will look like moving forward.
