Great to meet you!

Over the past five years, I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, couples, and families who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting stress, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. I offer therapy in both English and Korean, so you can express yourself in the language you feel most comfortable using.

I value connection, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and compassionate. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about helping you reconnect with your strengths, deepen self-understanding, and feel more grounded in who you are.

I integrate a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). These approaches help us explore what may be happening beneath the surface, build practical coping skills, and support meaningful, sustainable change.

Together, we move at a pace that feels right for you, honoring your experiences while working toward growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a gentle starting point—there’s no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready to. Think of it as a conversation where we begin getting to know each other.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what support might feel most helpful right now. I’ll also ask a bit about your background and experiences, while making sure the space feels safe, respectful, and grounded. Many clients say they feel relieved simply having a place where they don’t have to explain or justify their feelings.

Reaching out for support takes courage. Whenever you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you at a pace that feels right.
