Great to meet you!

“Just because you carry well, doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.”

If you’re not quite feeling like yourself, feeling more on edge or irritable, navigating a major life transition, dealing with health changes, trying to improve your work-life balance, or trying to live a life more aligned with your goals...it can be a lot to carry. You don’t have to do it alone.

I’m a licensed clinical health psychologist who takes a collaborative, compassionate, strengths-based approach grounded in evidence-based therapies to help you work through these concerns. In many spaces, clients I work with often feel invalidated, dismissed, and overlooked. I provide a safe, nonjudgemental space to help you process emotions, and gain knowledge, skills, and support to build and live a life that aligns with your goals and values.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when we have a shared understanding of the changes you want to make and work towards those changes together. We spend time learning about helpful and unhelpful patterns in your life and opportunities to try doing things differently. I balance reflection with action and encourage clients to try skills outside of session. This helps you learn to look for opportunities for change and see progress in your day-to-day life outside of our virtual therapy room. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and integrates evidence-based strategies. I enjoy working with clients and empowering them to 1) learn to recognize unhelpful patterns, 2) apply practical skills, 3) integrate skills into their lives, and 4) build lasting resilience.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will work together to explore what brings you to therapy, identify your strengths and goals, and develop a plan for what you’d like to accomplish during our time together. I prioritize creating a space where you feel heard, respected, safe, and empowered as you work towards your goals. I aim to make the first session conversational, while providing direction and giving you an idea of what our work together might look like. Our first session is also a time for you to ask questions and helps us determine whether my approach is the right fit for you.
