Great to meet you!

I am a solution-focused therapist with 15+years of experience working with adolescents as a teacher, advisor, coach, and therapist. I have been an LCSW since 2023 and was an LSW for several years prior. I've worked as a social worker in agency settings, schools, a detention center, and in skilled nursing facilities. Regardless of the population, I find it easy to connect with teens and adults with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and struggles.

I grew up in the Midwest, completed my BS in the South, and have lived in New Jersey for 20+ years. I've also travelled extensively and can talk about pretty much anything and everything.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, direct, and friendly. I hope to help you meet your goals and then move on, so I am relatively solution focused. Some of my clients work through their problems in four to six sessions, while others stay on much longer. I do not aim to keep you in therapy any longer than you want to be, and I will work with you to meet your goals.

I employ CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy practices, depending on a client's needs. I am especially adept with drawing in reluctant clients.

What you can expect from me

My clients typically walk away from sessions feeling validated, identifying a goal to focus on before the next session, and feeling empowered. One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the ability to quickly identify my clients' strengths and build on these strengths to work towards their desired outcomes.
