Julia Beecher-Flad

I've worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Most of my experience has been working with young people and their families in South and East Los Angeles. I'm also a parent of young children. Young adults and parents have found me to be helpful, but I'm also effective working with anyone who is struggling with ADHD/neurodivergence, self-doubt, low self-esteem, trauma, perfectionism, or big life changes that have caused distress.

In our work together, I’ll listen carefully to what you’re saying (or trying to say, or maybe even NOT saying!) I’ll summarize what you’ve told me in a way that helps expand both your self-understanding and your emotional vocabulary, so you can better articulate your experience. We’ll organize your thoughts together, modify beliefs that aren’t accurate, and help you formulate your ideas more clearly, in order to communicate with your loved ones and get what you need.

After therapy, you’ll have a clearer understanding of yourself, your unique abilities and your desires. You'll also have better communication & better relationships.
