Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Julia Catlin, and I am so glad you’re here. I am a licensed psychotherapist based in Las Vegas, NV, and I provide psychotherapy via telehealth throughout Nevada and Virginia. My passion: creating a space for meaningful, transformative psychotherapy. I have been in the mental health field since 2013, but in the last few years, I have focused on providing treatment to military veterans and dependents, as well as industry professionals and performing artists.

My approach to therapy

I believe that patients deserve an experience in psychotherapy that is integrative, deeply personal, and grounded in science: never from a manual, and always tailored to individual, unique needs. My primary therapeutic approach is insight-focused, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, sometimes known as depth therapy or somatic psychotherapy.

What you can expect from me

If you are a patient considering psychotherapy, you may not know what to expect, or you may even be afraid of trying therapy again. My mission is straightforward: 1) to help you understand yourself better, and determine what’s underneath your struggles; and 2) to support you when change feels painful and tough. In turn, you work to become your best self and create lasting changes: changes that stick long after psychotherapy has ended.
