Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in practice for 10 years. Completed my education from Chapman University with a B.A. in Psychology (2014) and the University of Southern California for a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy (2017.) My on site therapy experience began in 2016.

Specific areas of specialty are anxiety, trauma, couples, life transitions, communication skills, and trouble regulating emotions. I like to work with people who feel stuck in where they are to improve quality of life and reach their goals, addressing what is holding them back.

I am currently accepting new clients offering Telehealth in California. If we've worked together before and you're looking to reconnect, you are absolutely welcome to reach out.

I am currently in the process of getting credentialed with additional insurance providers. If you do not see your plan listed yet, please check back soon or feel free to reach out - I may be in network shortly.

My approach to therapy

I provide a warm, compassionate, non-judgemental place to talk about the most difficult and personal things. My style is gentle while also challenging my clients in ways that are necessary to induce positive change.

My style is considered "eclectic." I tailor my interventions to the client's unique needs such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, DBT skills, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic interventions, and more.

I often use CBT throughout treatment to address unhelpful thoughts and change them to be helpful and empowering. This often takes time, and I provide education on how this evidence based treatment is impactful.

I also believe Mindfulness is worth being mentioned with my clients. The idea of "being mindful" may sound intimidating, but it is really the most gentle way of getting to know yourself and gaining control of your thoughts. We will ease into it and continue practicing as we continue treatment, if you are open to it. Mastery of becoming aware of one's thoughts and deciding what you want to think about is essential to healing in many cases.

When it comes to trauma I approach this by developing self-care practices first, because the nature of trauma is complicated and deep. It is essential to practice self-compassion/self-care after difficult sessions. Once we have established this, we can delve into trauma. I will always ask you to inform me of how you are feeling during sessions and if it becomes too much, we can stop until next time.

What you can expect from me

Expect to gain even more self awareness, coping skills, and being challenged to think in a way that is helpful vs. harmful.
