Before we begin, I like to conduct a free 15 minute consultation. One of the most important aspects of therapy is the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client, and a consultation allows us to learn about each other and see if we'll be a good fit. In a consultation, I'll ask you about what brings you to therapy, any past experiences in therapy, and what you hope to gain from therapy, and answer any questions you have.
In our first therapy session, we will take time to review your intake paperwork, and I will ask you questions to better understand your experiences, life history, relationships, coping strategies, and strengths. The first session is also where we begin to build rapport and trust to set the foundation of our work together. I value your unique lived experience and knowledge, and see therapy as a collaboration where we work together to understand and unwind patterns that have been driving your struggles so you can make empowered choices and connect more deeply to your authentic self. By addressing the root causes of anxiety, burnout, trauma, and relationship patterns, and by building nervous system regulation through mind-body practices, my clients often develop emotional resilience, self-trust, and healthier, more secure relationships. Over time, many of my clients report feeling more grounded, more empowered, and more alive.
My Headway calendar reflects some times I have for consultations. For therapy sessions, I currently have in-person availability on Mondays and Tuesdays in Highland Park, and virtual availability Wednesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons, and Friday mornings for clients across California.
Beginning therapy and finding a provider is not easy, and I'm glad you're taking this first step. Feel free to reach out with any questions, or to schedule a phone consultation to see if we’d be a good fit.
