Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Julia, and I’m passionate about helping people find strength, clarity, and balance in their lives. I’ve been working in the field for over twenty years, with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and parents through life’s many transitions. I’m a graduate of Columbia University, where I focused on working with children and families. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside clients from many different backgrounds as they work through both everyday stress and life’s biggest challenges.

I believe the structure of the therapeutic relationship can help people access their inner strengths and promote meaningful change. Therapy gives us space to pause, reflect, and make sense of how the different parts of our lives — our relationships, health, identity, and environment — impact our well-being. Together, we’ll sort through challenges, set realistic goals, and develop strategies that help you feel more grounded and empowered.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in helping my clients manage ADHD, anger, chronic health conditions, depression, family conflict, grief and loss, OCD, PTSD, relationship issues, and stress management. Whether you’re coping with the loss of a loved one, struggling to stay focused, or rebuilding a sense of balance after trauma, I’ll meet you where you are. My goal is to help you uncover what’s getting in the way of peace, build tools that work for you, and strengthen your ability to manage life’s ups and downs.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented. I draw from a range of evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, Family Systems Therapy to strengthen relationships and communication, and Play Therapy to help children express emotions in creative, healthy ways. I also incorporate Christian Counseling and Strength-Based techniques for clients who want to build on faith, resilience, and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space where you can talk freely and be met with empathy and understanding. We’ll take time to explore what’s been weighing on you and identify meaningful goals for your healing journey.

I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. We’ll work together to identify your strengths, find new perspectives, and create lasting change that feels authentic to you. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and encouraged to take the next step toward healing.
