Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. My training includes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing. I specialize in treating anxiety and depression and work with those who struggle with ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, and mood disorders. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults.

My approach to therapy

I use a person-centered approach, which means I tailor treatment goals, coping skills, and therapeutic work based on the needs of each client. I let the client guide our discussions and allow them the autonomy to lead the direction of therapy. My job is to help keep the conversation focused on what is most important. I place a strong focus on developing concrete coping skills to improve functioning. A big part of my work is helping clients develop healthy communication skills, establish effective boundaries, and gain insight into their own behaviors, which can ultimately lead to meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your background, relationships, experiences, emotional well-being, and goals for therapy. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and safe being open and honest in our sessions. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard and understood. I’m energetic, personable, and often use humor when appropriate to help build rapport and make therapy feel comfortable and approachable.
