Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Approved Clinical Supervisor with nearly two decades of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. My approach is warm, energetic, and adaptable, rooted in evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT, while always tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs.

Throughout my career, I have provided high-quality, one-on-one and family therapy in both outpatient and in-home settings. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and trauma. I also have extensive experience collaborating with schools, physicians, and other providers to ensure clients receive holistic and well-coordinated care.

In addition to my work in private practice and intensive in-community settings, I have served for many years as a Family Services Specialist with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency. This background has given me deep insight into child welfare, crisis intervention, and the importance of strengthening family systems.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe that healing begins in a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and understood. Together, we work to identify the root causes of emotional distress and develop practical strategies for growth, balance, and resilience.

I draw from several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. These approaches allow me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs—whether that means learning coping skills to manage anxiety, processing past trauma, or building stronger relationships and self-esteem.

I view each client as the expert of their own experience. My role is to guide, support, and empower you to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and peace. Therapy with me is not about perfection—it’s about progress, self-awareness, and learning to show yourself the same compassion you so often extend to others.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. During this session, I will invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what you hope to accomplish, and any concerns or challenges you’ve been experiencing. We’ll explore your personal history, current stressors, and strengths to develop a clear picture of your needs and goals.

This is also a chance for you to ask questions about the therapeutic process and my approach to care. I’ll explain how sessions typically flow, discuss confidentiality, and collaborate with you on creating an individualized treatment plan. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—healing takes time, and the first session is simply a starting point for understanding and growth.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful that change is possible.
