Great to meet you!
Throughout my career as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist, I have worked with clients of all lived experiences, and find it meaningful that I am able to walk with clients from point A to point B (or sometimes, all the way to point Z and back again). It is significant to be witness to their growth, supporting them throughout very critical moments in their life journey, and ultimately, seeing them achieve their goals in therapy and beyond.
Part of what drew me to become a psychotherapist was having meaningful experiences where I felt supported in my own emergence in the world as an ever-evolving, multidimensional, curious, and empathetic person. From the very start of the therapy process, I emphasize to my client that I am here to offer support, guidance, or dive into the important work that they are investing in.
I also would like to share a more concise answer: I am a human being, trying to figure out how to navigate a complex world, and all of the dynamics, just like you! I say this to emphasize that I find points of connecting with clients to form a strong therapeutic alliance, as I am on your team, and want to see you excel.
