Julia Waldron

Hi, I’m Julia, and I am so glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Connecticut. I have experience in a wide variety of settings from School Social Work, Partial Hospitalization/ Intensive Outpatient Programs, to Outpatient Therapy. I work with individuals ages 18 and up. As an openly LGBTQIA+ clinician, I bring a personal understanding of the complexities and resilience within our community. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe to explore their identities, heal from past experiences, and build meaningful, authentic lives. Being out allows me to show up fully and connect with clients through shared understanding and trust.

Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in trust. I’ll meet you with curiosity, kindness, and zero judgment. We’ll work together to understand your experiences and build tools that feel doable, not overwhelming. I enjoy incorporating DBT, mindfulness, and expressive therapies into my sessions, but most of all, I center our sessions around you. What you’re feeling, what matters to you, and what helps you move forward. It’s a privilege to witness the resilience of my clients, and it would be an honor to work with you.

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, identity questions, school or work pressures, social struggles, or just that constant inner voice telling you you’re not enough, I’m here to help you slow down, sort through it, and start healing.

My intake process is collaborative and grounded in a trauma-informed, relational approach. I’ll ask questions to understand your history and what’s bringing you in, but we move at your pace. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once.

This can be a space for you whether you’re clear on what’s going on or still trying to find language for it. You don’t need to have it figured out to start therapy with me. We can make sense of things together, including patterns, questions, and anything that feels hard to put into words.

My style is clinically grounded, but also human. Humor is welcome. So is complexity.

My goal is to help you not just understand your patterns, but actually shift them in ways that feel safe, meaningful, and lasting.
